Paul challenged the Church to be built up in love while speaking the truth in love. This beautiful marriage of the truth and love allows believers to carry out the commission that Jesus left us. The key is understanding Jesus’ commandments and how that challenges us to first love God before ourselves , second our neighbors as ourselves, and perhaps the most challenging, our brothers and sisters in Christ as He loved us. Without God’s truth, how can we hope to live up to this love?
