In the world but not of the world. This is a prayer that Jesus prayed over his disciples before he left and it is one that still rings in heaven for Christians today. Couple this with Jesus’ message concerning the kingdom of God, as mentioned more than any other topics, allows us to see the call to citizenship. One that changes our focus with the issues of the world and asks us to seek the heart of the King for the broken world.
